PURPOSE: Meet in Real Life 

Foocome Group Event must be hosted in person, by an event host or member of the group’s leadership team to promote face-to-face meeting, interaction, and sharing a purpose, goal, interest, identity or activity.

CONDUCT: Be Safe

All organizers and members must take ownership over their safety, and must never put themselves or others in danger. We expect all organizers and members to be mindful of local laws when engaging with their group event(s).

When appropriate, Foocome encourages organizers to set guidelines for their group event(s) to ensure their members are participating safely.

All Foocome group events should be accurately described in the title and description fields to allow members to make informed decisions about their participation.

Organizers must be honest in the way they conduct their group activities and upfront about the nature of their group’s activities, interests, membership requirements, intentions, business affiliations, and/or official organization affiliations.

Hate and Harm

Foocome groups purposed to organize or promote hateful, harmful, threatening, or bullying behavior, will be removed from the platform.

Under 18 Participation

Foocome members and organizers must be at least 18 years of age. Therefore, Meetup groups should be targeted at, and only offer opportunities for, those who are over 18.

While Foocome are welcome to provide activities for families, any children present at a event must be supervised and accompanied by an adult guardian.

Criminal Record

Foocome may remove certain members from participating group events when we become aware that the member is a convicted sex offender or has been convicted of a violent, fraudulent, or dangerous crime. Foocome may also remove a member based on their criminal record, for safety, or for other concerns. Members with concerns about criminal or illegal activity should always report it to local authorities.
